Ceramic tile is known for its beauty, durability, and the equity-enhancing
potential it brings to your home. In particular, ceramic tile allows your

possibilities. When choosing tile, look for something that will work with the
permanent features of your home such as trim, carpet, wood floors, etc. In
contrast, if you choose something to match your paint or your favorite towels,

There are several things you need to be aware of during the tile selection process. First and foremost, there are primarily two types of ceramic tile manufactured today: Glazed and unglazed. Let's take a closer look at the unique characteristics of each of these types:
Glazed Tile:

- Glazed tile has a surface coating material called "frit", an ingredient contained in glass.
- Color dye is blended with the frit, allowing glazed ceramic to come in any shade you want.
- During manufacturing, frit is applied to the top surface of the unfired tile and then fused to the tile during the firing process.

- Non-porous, impermeable surfaces that will not absorb moisture.
- Stain and Scratch Resistant
- Easy to Clean
Unglazed Tile:
- Construction:

- Unglazed tile is commonly referred to as "through body porcelains". This means the color is consist ant through the body of clay.
- Key Features:

- Appropriate for interior and exterior spaces.
- Higher Density and More Durable than glazed tile.
- Appropriate for Residential and Commercial applications.
- Popular among schools, restaurants and office buildings.
